Fire Mothra!

The beautiful girls await their Mothra's return and sing out their suffering. In Mothra they demonstrate telepathic ability, within speaking range with people and over great distances with Mothra. They explain that while they call to Mothra in prayer and song, they and Mothra are also connected on some deeper level beyond their control, and it is this connection that impels Mothra to find them no matter where they are.

The ending of the film alludes heavily to Christianity: Mothra's symbol is revealed to bear a likeness to the Christian cross—though it more specifically resembles the Celtic cross—and its image, joined by the sound of ringing church bells, is used to summon Mothra. Remarkably, whereas the propagation of western capitalism is to blame for Mothra's destructive onslaught, it is western religion which appeases it.

1-1-07 JAKARTA, Indonesia - A passenger plane lost contact with flight controllers Monday as it flew between Indonesia‘s Java and Sulawesi islands, officials said.

The missing plane is a Boeing 737-400, carrying six crew and 96 passengers, including 11 children, Indonesia‘s El-Shinta radio reported.

In a staggering twist to the search for an aircraft, senior Indonesian officials said Tuesday reports the jet with 102 people on board had been found on Sulawesi island were flat-out wrong and it was still missing.

Various officials recounted earlier how wreckage of the Adam Air Boeing 737-400 had been found after crashing into mountains in heavy rain.

There were reports how 12 people had survived the crash and were being cared for by villagers.

"The location has not been found," admitted First Air Marshal Eddy Suyanto, commander of the Hasanuddin air base in Makassar. "We apologize that the news that we conveyed was not true." More

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE???


In recent years much has been written about the Bermuda Triangle and the mysterious phenomena associated with it. Most of us are aware that the Bermuda Triangle is a triangular shaped area of ocean stretching from the Straits of Florida, north-east to Bermuda, south to Lesser Antilles and then back to Florida.

Less known, on the other side of the world, there exists a similar area of ocean known as the Dragon�s Triangle. The Dragon�s Triangle follows a line from Western Japan, north of Tokyo, to a point in the Pacific at approximate latitude of 145 degrees east. It turns west south west, past the Bonin Islands, then down to Guam and Yap, west towards Taiwan, before heading back to Japan in a north north easterly direction.

Both areas share stories of missing maritime vessels and aircraft, reports of malfunctioning navigational and communication equipment and tales of drifting, crewless ghost ships. More

Now do I really believe that the ferry and the airplane sunk and crashed(or whatever other possibility) due to the mirrored eastern version of the Bermuda triangle? NO. The fact that its called dragon's triangle is of personal significance to me. Anyone else? But it is interesting that these two incidents both happened at roughly the same time and around the same place and each incident is important because it entered into the collective consciousness at roughly the same time- of course I acknowledge the fact that bad weather possibly contributed to both incidences. But from what I hear, bad weather is common in that area so why now? So naturally anyone who is interested in trying to make any sort of comprehensive sense out of the world we live in would recognize the syrchronicity here and the extraordinary circumstances in the plane crash story especially- the fact that military officials confirmed the plane found along with detailed facts- 90 dead and 12 survivors. Why was this info put out? Why was it then retracted? Why is Java, a place I'd never heard of before suddenly being a starring role on the media stage? Some, most, write off coincidences but I do not because of my own personal experiences with the phenomenon of synchronicity. Is there something to be made of this? We'll see.

The Lost Island of the Mind

Before we had found and plotted out every square inch of the outer world, mystical islands were objects of fantasy representing places in our undiscovered inner-space which revealed the mysteries of our genesis.

It was the place where the twins Apollo and Athena were created. Delos- the island surrounded by swans was where Leta gave birth to the sun god/archer and his same/opposite goddess archer of wisdom- the Sophia of the owl who was born first and helped with the birth of her other.

Why was the island surrounded by swans? Swans in many ancient cultures have strange connections and attributes like shape-shifting and have the ability to move between various spiritual worlds.

The lost island is the place cloaked in misty clouds that can only been seen under the perfect set of circumstances. Hy-Brazil is a phantom island from Irish mythology. It is a circle sliced in half by a river that flows in and out of its diameter. As the legend goes, it can only be seen at a specific point in time when the mists subside every seven years.

And of-course there is Atlantis.

According to Plato, Atlantis- beyond the pillars of Hercules, sank to its watery grave in one day were all the great and sophisticated knowledge of the ancients drown to oblivion.

Atlantis apparently looked like a bulls eye- a dart target if you were to view from a bird's vantage except that instead of a series of encircled circles- the circles were broken making it a series of c's ringing smaller c's. This was due to a large waterway/river that broke the rings of land that were ringed by rings of water. So the C becomes synonymous with Atlantis, you c?

There has been much speculation of late from various weirdo's like myself that we were genetically altered by an extraterrestrial race and this occurance has much to do with Atlantis. Sound crazy? In order to even begin to accept a hypothesis so outlandish we must first accept the notion that extraterrestrials do exist (weather in outerspace or innerspace is an issue i'll deal with at another post in time) and that they have in fact been here and/or are here. CHICAGO -- Call it a close encounter of the O'Hare kind.

Some airline workers reported seeing a mysterious, elliptical-shaped craft over O'Hare International Airport last fall but say their bosses and the government wouldn't take them seriously.

The Federal Aviation Administration has dismissed the reported Nov. 7 sighting by United Airlines employees as a likely weather phenomenon.

United spokeswoman Megan McCarthy said there is no record of the UFO report and company officials don't recall discussing any such incident.

That doesn't sit well with the employees, who are upset that neither United nor the FAA investigated the incident.

A group of workers, including pilots, told the Chicago Tribune on condition of anonymity in remarks published Monday that they saw a dark gray, flying saucer-like object hover motionless in the sky above the United terminal around 4:30 p.m. that day.

After several minutes, the object -- described variously at 6 feet to 24 feet in diameter -- bolted noiselessly upward through thick clouds so powerfully that it left an eerie hole in the clouds.

(Yup- the cloudy mists were cleared)

The FAA acknowledged that a United supervisor called its air-traffic control tower at O'Hare, asking if controllers had spotted a spinning disc-shaped object. FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory said no controllers saw it and a preliminary check of radar found nothing out of the ordinary.

"Our theory on this is that it was a weather phenomenon," she said. "That night was a perfect atmospheric condition in terms of low (cloud) ceiling and a lot of airport lights. When the lights shine up into the clouds, sometimes you can see funny things."

Funny is just how some controllers in the tower view the incident.

"To fly 7 million light years to O'Hare and then have to turn around and go home because your gate was occupied is simply unacceptable," said O'Hare controller and union official Craig Burzych.

Back to the Future

I'm So glad the eighties are back.

I remember plastic charm bracelets and elastic hair bands with colorful-transparent glittered cube clasps. I remember orange sequins on my drill-team uniform and cheesy nachos and frito-pies at my brother's football games. I remember outhouses/ port-a-potties out a few yards behind the bleachers at the football field. And back then they weren't so bad, But you'd never get me into one today.
I remember skating rinks and Micheal Jackson's Thriller. I remember Guess tube purses and Rainbow Bright with little fuzzy Sprites. I remember waist-belted sweater dresses and leggings. I remember dancing to the Strawberry Shortcake song with My best friend Dana,... "I wanna look like who I wan't to be, When I grow up.....when I grow uuhh-up."

I remember that everybody trusted thier government, (even after the Iran-Contra fiasco???) I remember A pretend election in the first or second grade against Bush and Dukhakis. I voted for Dukhakis and didnt tell anyone because All the popular kids chose Bush. Wierd, I know! I have no idea of how I knew that Bush Sr was the wrong choice. I guess because my mother told me that Democrats helped the poor. But I'm not a Democrat or a Republican and have never been either one. We were not wealthy. But we were ok, especially considering that my father wasn't around to help. But he always sent us some money on our birthdays, and he always gave me money for candy from the convienent store when we'd go to visit him.

I remember being outside all day, roaming the nieghborhood until sunset and then coming home starving. I remember my mother's goolash and that she was beautiful. I remember Back to the Future and And Alex P. Keaton (Micheal J Fox) from Family ties. And I admit that this is why I named my son Alex.

I remember being sad alot, But I was happy sometimes too. And these are all of the things that made me happy.

I'm so glad the eighties are back. I think I'll go shopping and see if I can't find some hair bands with colorful dice-shaped clasps for my daughter's hair.

I like Coffee in the mornings

I love drinking coffee in the mornings.

I love getting my daughter dressed for preschool in the mornings and braiding her hair. I love Sophia's baby smell after she's had a bath and is powdered and lotioned. I love to hear the StarWars theme song when my son watches tv and snacks on apples and peanutbutter.

But I only love and appreciate these things after my morning coffee.

Chin Up

In spring of 1991 the 8th grade girls of Wylie Middle School in Whylie Tx who participated in the athletics program had to take a fitness test. There were several parts to this challenge but the only one's I can remember are the cross country race and the chin up test. I was one of the last people in cross country out of a group of about 30 to 40. No biggy, I didnt really try. And then it was the chin up test, oh...wait the chin up test was first (doesn't matter) And what suprised me was that after watching all of the girls get up to the bar and seeing most of them doing atleast three.....I couldn't get my arms to move and inch. NOT AN INCH!!!

Since then, and fifteen years later, I have the same fantasy about myself. You see, T2 came out in the theaters somewhere close to the same time frame of this fitness test. I want to be Linda Hamilton, who did many perfect chin ups while locked up in a mental institution. Let me rephrase that, I want to be able to do effortless chin ups like Linda Hamilton's character in Terminator 2. I do not want to be insane.
